1512

  Quilt stats

Name:  1512
Design:  Scrappy Trip Around the World  (Bonnie Hunter)
Size:  72" by 84"
Fabric:  Scraps and stash fabrics
Quilted: by me with Aurifil 50 wt in white

I finished my scrappy trip along!  I finished sewing the binding on during the super bowl to be exact.  I am super pleased with how this turned out.  First of all the method was just so much fun.  Then I was super happy with the riot of colour and the yellow diagonal.  And finally I just LOVE how the quilting turned out.  And I waffled about the quilting.  I hummed and hawed.  I stared at the sandwiched quilt as it lay on the floor from my perch on the exercise bike.  Then I went for it.  On the diagonal, skipping 2 squares then on the diagonal in both directions with my favourite Aurifil 50 wt in white.  I did not mark the diagonals but rather just focused on where I was headed.  It turned out exactly as I wanted it to turn out!  Yay!

Bound in a purple tone on tone and backed with a variety of prints in green and a splash of orange.  And why is this post titled 1512?  Because there are 1512 little squares in this quilt.  And what happened in the year 1512?  Apparently that was the year that the Geradus Mercator, the famous Flemish cartographer was born which is an appropriate nod to a scrappy trip around the world quilt.  Apparently this was also the year that the Sistine Chapel was displayed to the public for the first time.  Now I am not about to compare my quilt to the Sistine Chapel's public viewing but I am pretty pleased with it!  Linking up with Amanda Jean for Finish it up Friday!

  1. The quilting is fantastic. You may have given me an idea for my current project....

It's a gorgeous quilt. 1512 squares. Wow. Aren't you glad that you didn't have to piece each of those together individually????

  30. Hey, I'm underweight and would like to gain some pounds. Somebody advised me the protein milkshake from Herbalife (F 1). Is it Alright for me to eat? But some friends of mine frightened me that there might be some side effects later on.

  31. Ok lets lay it down actual rapid. Superman can be a great all rounder but no matter what he has nothing on hulk.
Hulk has taken many energy blasts from people emitting higher amounts of
energy or projectiles i.e Thor, Ironman, Dr Doom ect.
So lets forget Supermans heat lazers eyes. Freezing the hulk has proven to become a fail
at so a lot of different occasions so forget Supermans
cold breath. So whats it down to then, strength and speed.
Hulks strength starts on par with supermans (for all you fools who consider its lower) the angrier he gets
its like a +5 for every of his skills, abilities and general strength
not to mention speed and shock waves he may emit. Supermans is at a set
volume, no increase unless he comes in contact with far more yellow sun ray.
Difficulty with which is if he has as well a lot he will die.
Hulks strength has gotten so higher he each held and broke the
f***ing space time continum using a one punch and however
still it hasnt shown to stop increasing. Hulk can adapt to ANY condition inside an instant, if they were fighting near high traces of radiation harmful to both hulk would adapt
and superman could be screwed. All in all it could be a
great fight but no matter how you swing it even if superman tried to
calm hulk down there exists only one person that can
really calm the hulk and that is certainly Betty Ross.

Everyone else seems to be patronising towards him. Also if superman used his speed eventually hulks
anger will enable him to catch him so theres still no argument.
Either way you see it Hulk is victorious.
